Hi, I'm John Paradisi and I started tattooing professionally in 1982. My family and I lived and worked at the Subway Tattoo Company.
In 1984 I took over the studio and in 1987 became Living Art Tattoo. Over the next 20 years the shop changed locations 5 times
within Perth Western Australia. I like all styles of tattoo and really enjoy colour, black and grey, oriental and new styles. I am excited
about the new styles and the full colour effect. I really enjoy a challenge and like a customer that knows what they want. After 20 years as Living Art, with the move to the city we've decided to change our identity to the Black Quill to represent the future direction of the studio. I look forward to helping you with any of your dermagraphic needs.
Remember god said, "Go forth and live as art." |

My name is David Llewellin and I have been tattooing professionally now for 16 years. I started working with John at Living Art, Maylands about 5 years ago. Previously I worked in Northbridge, Melbourne, Hobart, Hong Kong and Europe. I am interested in all styles of tattooing but really enjoy evil, black and grey, new school colour and abstraction. I also really enjoy biomechanical. My interests include art, literature and the outdoors and am quite keen on trail riding with my son. I have been trying to develop an original artistic style of flash art for the new shop and look forward to any original challenge the customer may present. Please contact me if you have any original ideas that need to be drawn up. I hope to meet you soon!
Dave's favorite joke: What has two legs and bleeds a lot? Half a dog!
